At the end of a fantastically busy Summer Season this year, we can’t thank our wonderful guests enough for having made this year such a successful and pleasurable one by staying with us.

We also want to thank our guests for helping us to keep some of our Covid practices running throughout the season – we hope that these measures have helped to make you all feel comfortable and assured.

We thank all our past guests for their continued support and we look forward to seeing you again and to meeting all our new guests next year.

We are taking bookings for next year – please contact us directly for the best prices – we will always do our best to help you plan your seaside break according to your wishes.

We will be closing from 1st November and plan to use this time to make some improvements to our B&B!

We look forward to seeing you again soon! In the meantime, please keep safe and well.

Ian and Julia look forward to welcoming you to our friendly family-run guest house located right on the stunning Dorset coast, the gateway to the world famous Jurassic Coast and the Isle of Purbeck.

A perfect base from which to explore the stunning countryside and coastline for which Dorset is famous for, including Durdle Door, Lulworth Cove and the Isle of Portland, all within sight of the Whitecliff.

Wake up to the sound of the waves on the nearby beach; enjoy a freshly cooked breakfast overlooking the sea, with an uninterrupted view across the bay to the Purbeck Hills.

Spend your days relaxing on the beach in the sunshine, swimming in the clean waters, eating locally made ice cream.

Watch the water lovers on the sea, catching the waves on their windsurfers and exploring the bay on their paddle boards.

Enjoy craft ales and fantastic wines in the bars situated along the newly pedestrianised Harbour ; enjoy a delicious meal by the waters edge from any of the fabulous award winning restaurants, or sit with freshly cooked Fish &Chips and watch the world go by.

Durdle Door, Lulworth Cove, Lyme Regis and Portland are all within an easy drive, or you can catch a bus (see Rome2Rio or First Group) and enjoy the ride through the beautiful Dorset Countryside.

Or take time to explore the nearby quiet Nature Reserves, famous for the variety of wildlife spotted there

The Whitecliff is an easy level walk along the promenade to Weymouth’s famous harbour, award winning restaurants and attractions.

Whatever the weather there is always something to see and do in Weymouth.

We, Ian and Julia, look forward to welcoming you all to Weymouth.

A Dorset Breakfast

Our free-range eggs, milk, black pudding, bacon and sausages are all locally sourced here in Dorset. Our tea, hot chocolate and coffee is from Clipper, an ethical Fairtrade Dorset company. We make our own granola using ingredients from the local whole foods shop and our jam and marmalade is homemade by a friend in Weymouth.

Our Full English breakfast consists of bacon, sausage, black pudding, beans, tomato, mushrooms, egg (poached, fried or scrambled) and hash brown, as well as your choice of tea or a cafetiere of coffee, cereal, toast and juice.

If that’s too much you can choose one of our light bites. These include home-made American pancakes, omelettes, eggs (poached, scrambled, fried or boiled), beans on toast, bacon or sausage sandwich and porridge.

If you’d rather eat in your room, you can pre-order a breakfast basket with a selection of croissants, cereal, bacon or sausage sandwiches, juices, tea or a cafetiere of coffee.

From our guests’ feedback we know our breakfasts hit the spot every time.

Breakfast is served between 8 and 9am. (Earlier breakfasts can often be arranged by prior agreement.)

Local and ethical

Dorset is a wonderful county that we’re proud to be living and working in. We buy as much as we can locally, from a butcher just down the road, the health food shop in town, a friend who has a jam and marmalade home business, a Dorset tea and coffee company, and from local farms.

We are also very aware of our impact on the global community so all our hot drinks and sugars are Fairtrade and, for the last two years, all our electricity has been produced from renewable sources.

We look forward to welcoming you to our lovely home by the sea in this most beautiful part of the world.
