Welcome to our friendly family-run guest house located just a few steps away from Weymouth’s beautiful award winning beach.  Many of our rooms offer uninterrupted sea views towards the Purbeck Hills. The sea view rooms with bay windows offer a perfect view to watch the sun rise over the sea.

Our guesthouse is the perfect base from which to explore the spectacular countryside and world famous Jurassic Coast, including Durdle Door, Lulworth Cove and the Isle of Portland, all within sight of the Whitecliff.  We have a multi-award winning beach literally on our doorstep, overlooking a World Heritage coastline and few minutes walk away is Weymouth’s vibrant harbour, wonderful heritage architecture and a backdrop that is an Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty.

Whitecliff Guest House, located in the iconic Brunswick Terrace, features free Wi-Fi throughout the venue and offers comfortable, clean and welcoming rooms in which to stay. We are 15 minutes’ walk from King’s Statue and National Express bus stops and 10 minutes’ walk from the Train Station.

Compact rooms are fitted with smoke detectors and flat-screen television for your convenience. Some rooms offer views of the sea.

A freshly cooked English breakfast is available daily, using locally sourced Dorset ingredients where possible, and with prior notice we are happy to cater for alternative dietary requirements.

The Whitecliff is able to accommodate up to 15 people at a time, making it a wonderful option for large families or group of friends to stay together.

Please contact us for more details and competitive pricing on group stays.

Durdle Door, Lulworth Cove, Lyme Regis and Portland are all within an easy drive, or you can catch a Jurassic Coaster bus and enjoy the ride through the beautiful Dorset Countryside.

Or take time to explore the nearby quiet Nature Reserves, famous for the variety of wildlife spotted there.

We are situated 2 km from Weymouth’s bustling town centre and 62 km from Bournemouth airport. Weymouth Sea Life Adventure Park and the wonderful RSPB nature reserve at Lodmoor is 15 minutes’ walk from the guest house. The beautiful Greenhill Gardens are also located near the property. Weymouth Harbour is just a 15 minutes walk away.

Whatever the weather there is always something to see and do in Weymouth.

We, Ian and Julia, look forward to welcoming you all to Weymouth.

A Dorset Breakfast

Our free-range eggs, milk, black pudding, bacon and sausages are all locally sourced here in Dorset. Our tea, hot chocolate and coffee is from Clipper, an ethical Fairtrade Dorset company. We make our own granola using ingredients from the local whole foods shop and our jam and marmalade is homemade by a friend in Weymouth.

Our Full English breakfast consists of bacon, sausage, black pudding, beans, tomato, mushrooms, egg (poached, fried or scrambled) and hash brown, as well as your choice of tea or a cafetiere of coffee, cereal, toast and juice.

If that’s too much you can choose one of our light bites. These include home-made American pancakes, omelettes, eggs (poached, scrambled, fried or boiled), beans on toast, bacon or sausage sandwich and porridge.

If you’d rather eat in your room, you can pre-order a breakfast basket with a selection of croissants, cereal, bacon or sausage sandwiches, juices, tea or a cafetiere of coffee.

From our guests’ feedback we know our breakfasts hit the spot every time.

Breakfast is served between 8 and 9am.

Local and ethical

Dorset is a wonderful county that we’re proud to be living and working in. We buy as much as we can locally, from a butcher just down the road, the health food shop in town, a friend who has a jam and marmalade home business, a Dorset tea and coffee company, and from local farms.

We are also very aware of our impact on the global community so all our hot drinks and sugars are Fairtrade and, for the last two years, all our electricity has been produced from renewable sources.

We look forward to welcoming you to our lovely home by the sea in this most beautiful part of the world.
